The Light Emitting Diodes or LED’s are an efficient source of light and the previously used other methods of illuminating up the LCD screen were used were fluorescent tubes; but now the LEDs are used to light up the LCD display.

While the fluorescent tubes give light, they also have certain drawbacks. The fluorescent tubes take up more space and are also heavy in weight; they also don’t provide best color quality because the blacks displayed are not accurate blacks and this reduce the vitality of all other colors.
